WILD EARTH Wins the Grand Prize at the 2003 Independent Games Festival

Los Angeles, CA - 3/10/2003 -- The Independent Games Festival is the premier showcase for innovation in the computer games industry. This year, Wild Earth from Super X Studios has been recognized by the gaming industry and awarded three prizes: Innovation in Game Design, Innovation in Visual Arts, and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize.

Wild Earth

Wild Earth is distinctive because of its AAA-quality design, with an interactive 3D environment that is made for all ages to enjoy. It is rare to see a non-violent game, targeted for the family market, that has such high production values and cutting edge technology.

Wild Earth sends players of all ages on a photo-safari through the plains of the Serengeti. What sets it apart from other family-oriented titles is the state-of-the-art 3D engine that it uses, developed over the last six years by Super X Studios, which brings the Serengeti to life with amazingly realistic wildlife and environments.

Wild Earth will be released in 2005. Interested parties can contact James Thrush at for more information.

This marks the second time that Super X Studios has won at the festival: their breakthrough title Far Gate (originally titled The Rift) won the Audience Award by popular vote in the 2000 Independent Games Festival. It was subsequently published in 13 countries.
